We are pleased to announce the successful shipment of a stainless steel integrated wastewater treatment system to our client in Peru. This advanced unit combines electrocoagulation, DAF, and MBBR technologies into a single compact footprint, delivering comprehensive treatment for challenging industrial wastewater streams.
The system features full stainless steel construction, ensuring exceptional corrosion resistance in Peru’s coastal and industrial environments. From the main tank to internal piping, every component is built to withstand chemical exposure and provide decades of reliable service with minimal maintenance.
Three Core Technologies in One Integrated Unit:
1. Electrocoagulation (EC) – The first stage of treatment utilizes electrocoagulation technology, which applies an electrical current to destabilize and aggregate suspended solids, emulsified oils, and heavy metals. Unlike chemical coagulation, EC requires no additional chemicals, produces less sludge, and is highly effective for complex industrial wastewater containing oil emulsions and fine particulates.
2. Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) – Following electrocoagulation, the DAF unit generates millions of microbubbles that attach to the aggregated particles, floating them to the surface for efficient skimming. This stage removes remaining suspended solids, oils, and grease, significantly reducing pollutant loads before biological treatment.
3. MBBR Biofilm Media – The final biological stage utilizes high-surface-area MBBR carriers that host a robust biofilm community. This Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor efficiently degrades organic matter and nutrients, ensuring stable performance even under fluctuating loads. The MBBR process is renowned for its resilience, compact footprint, and low maintenance requirements.
Integrated Control & Automation:
The entire system is managed by a Schneider Electric control panel, providing fully automated operation with real-time monitoring and data logging. The PLC-based controller manages all process parameters — including electrocoagulation voltage, DAF air saturation, MBBR aeration cycles, and chemical dosing — ensuring consistent treatment performance. A user-friendly HMI touchscreen allows operators to monitor system status, adjust settings, and receive alarm notifications. Optional remote connectivity enables off-site supervision, ideal for facilities with limited on-site technical staff.
