Integrated MBBR Sewage Treatment for Laos
Efficient and reliable sewage treatment is vital for community health and environmental protection in Laos. Our new project utilizes a compact, high-performance integrated sewage treatment system, perfectly suited for local needs. This solution combines key stages into one streamlined process, ensuring consistent results with minimal operational complexity.
The treatment journey begins with a screen, removing large solids and debris to protect downstream equipment. Wastewater then flows into an equalization tank, which balances variations in flow and pollutant concentration. This stabilization is crucial for preparing the water for the core biological stage.
The heart of the system is the MBBR process. Within the reactor, thousands of specially designed biofilm media (or carriers) are kept in constant motion. These carriers provide a massive surface area for beneficial bacteria to attach and grow, forming a robust biofilm. This highly active biomass efficiently consumes organic pollutants (BOD/COD), delivering superior treatment in a compact footprint.
Following biological treatment, the mixed liquor enters the clarification zone. Here, an integrated tube settler (inclined plate module) dramatically increases the settling area. This allows for rapid and effective separation of clear water from biological solids, producing high-quality effluent ready for final disinfection and safe discharge or reuse.
