700 M³/d Integrated System for Mongolia Industrial Wastewater

We are pleased to announce the successful delivery of a 700 m³/d integrated wastewater treatment system to our client in Mongolia. Designed for challenging industrial wastewater, this compact unit combines DAF, tube settler clarification, MBBR with biofilm media, and multimedia filtration into one robust package — ideal for factories, processing plants, and industrial parks in harsh climates.

The system features a durable carbon steel or stainless steel construction with anti-corrosion coating, specially adapted for Mongolia’s wide temperature variations. Its integrated, skid-mounted design allows for rapid on-site installation with minimal civil works.

Complete Treatment Process:

1. Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) – Industrial effluent first enters the DAF unit, where millions of microbubbles attach to suspended solids, oils, and grease. These contaminants float to the surface for efficient skimming, significantly reducing pollutant loads before downstream treatment.

2. Tube Settler Clarification – After DAF, the wastewater flows into a high-rate tube settler. Inclined plates multiply the effective settling area, allowing rapid removal of fine particles and flocs. This stage produces clearer effluent and reduces the burden on biological processes.

3. MBBR with Biofilm Media – The core biological treatment utilizes MBBR technology filled with high-surface-area biofilm media. These carriers host a dense, active microbial community that degrades organic matter (BOD/COD) and nutrients. The MBBR process is resilient to shock loads and requires minimal maintenance — perfect for industrial applications.

4. Final Polishing (Filter) – An integrated multimedia filter captures any remaining suspended particles, ensuring that the treated effluent meets strict discharge or reuse standards.

Integrated Control & Automation:
The entire system is managed by an automated control panel (optional Schneider Electric components), allowing remote monitoring, alarm notifications, and energy-efficient operation.
